Went here for Sunday lunch with friends, none of us having visited before. It is easily the best roast to be had in Wisbech. Highly recommended.

Just called on the hop to see if we could get a Sunday lunch, no problem at all. Great friendly welcome, Amazing delicious generous hot lunch with a complimentary glass of wine. Will definitely be back, such a relaxing atmosphere.

Popped in yesterday with my partner for toasted cheese sandwich and chips presented with an empty 2 slices of cold toast and pre cooked chips. Worst ever. Only one portion of chips arrived. No table check I had to go to the bar and complain in front of others. I wanted to go in there after my hosp appt. We shouldn’t have bothered the atmosphere was awful and unwelcoming. Won’t be going again

Quite a broad menu and something pretty much for everyone. Portion size was generous and the food piping hot.

My partner and I had heard about the quality and generous helpings of the Red Lions Sunday roast and we certainly weren't disappointed when we ate there Sunday Nov 3rd. I had the three meats and Sanantha had the lamb. Absolutely melt in the mouth perfect. The peanut butter cheesecake I managed to find room for was also first class. Friendly service too. Just wish we had this quality in Royston

Amazing food, had Sunday roast. Lots of choice, lots of veg. Had nut roast or meat free option and delicious desserts. Plus complimentary glass of wine! Really friendly staff, lovely and clean, definitely be going back

Just had lunch for four, here today, 23rd Oct 2024. A pub run how it should be run. Friendly staff, clean, great prices, great food, value for money, great beer. All served with a smile so thank you ladies very much. We will be back. Just perfect, it really was.

We called in for an evening meal and all four of us enjoyed it. My own personal complaint would be it was an enormous plateful that I couldn't finish.

We were there with friends on the Saturday and a surprise birthday get together on the Sunday. The Sunday we had the roast dinner beautiful and plenty of it. Nice and hot

Dropped in for Sunday lunch at 3pm after visiting family in Wisbech. Lovely Sunday dinner roast beef with all the trimmings.. lovely cauliflower cheese...free glass of wine with your Sunday lunch..from the outside the pub doesnt look all that.. but its nice inside with a friendly atmosphere. Very clean including the toilets. Would return and recommend.

Found this pub whilst on a walk around the town and finding Elgoods Brewery, who do not have a tap room. The lady at the brewery
recommended the pub and I was served by a lovely young lady with a pint of Indian Summer. If you are in the area, try this pub. Didn't eat, but they had a lovely looking menu.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Catered for gluten free. Staff really helpful, great atmosphere. We had lunch in the beautiful beer garden, the weather was great and we had our dog. Would highly recommend.

My daughter couldn't order what she wanted and it would have been useful to know what was off the menu when we were given the menus.
The food was very nice. I had mushrooms with stilton and steak and kidney pudding. ENORMOUS portions. Only I finished my meal...lol.
It was OK. I wouldn't rush back you are guaranteed lots of wholesome food if you do visit.

Very good value for money, the dishes are huge, typical pub grub with some specials alongside. They're definitely aimed at meat eaters. My disappointment is that the mains are so big there's only enough room for that dish, whereas we like a dessert by choice but there was just no way. I'd happily have a smaller main to leave room for pud.

Visited this pub twice this week while visiting the area on a cycling break.The first visit the spaghetti carbonara was outstanding while the rest of the group had a chicken burger and cod and chips.There were so many choices on the menu and specials board that we decided to go back.This time the spicy noodles were my choice (and there was plenty of it)whilst the rest of the group tucked into the carbonara,breaded chicken fillets and steak and kidney pudding.Staff were very friendly and attentive making for two great evenings would be on our list if we revisited the area again.

What a disappointment. We have dined here several times with no complaints, however we won't be dining again. Starters were served came out and yes they were fine, but then things took a turn for the worst. One of us had the minted lamb chops, not too sure how you can mess that up. However they were inedible, due to a spice being added to the outside that rendered the food inedible, the meal was sent back. The diner can normally handle spice but this hurt her mouth so much she needed a glass of water. Another diner ordered the prawn tikka masala. The rice was stuck together in clumps that required cutting apart, obviously either overcooked or not washed in boiling water to prevent this. The masala was indeed tasteless and the meal was sent back. Another diner had the ribeye, this was cooked however too fatty in most parts thank goodness for the chips. Out of 4 of us 1 ate and enjoyed their meal. At no point was there an offer of money off, a reduced rate or even a free drink. When spending over £100 this is a very poor response and frankly bad customer service, hence we won't be dining again.
